Ras D is a prolific singer/songwriter from Kingston, Jamaica. As a child, Ras D would spend hours at the home of Peter Tosh of the Wailers. This experience is what fired his love of reggae and he was motivated to write his own music at the age of 19. As Ras D became more familiar with the music business, he produced his debut album “Give Some Love Today”, released in September 2004. Included on this album is the track “September 11th”, a tribute to those lost in the attacks on the US. Ras D went on to give us his next album, “Love with Meaning”, in 2007. His latest album, “Jah Reign”, is enjoying much success. This album includes the title track “Jah Reign” showing Ras D’s spiritual connection with his music. Also included on this album is “Love You I Do” featuring Davian Munroe, the first collaboration between Ras D and his son. More recent ventures include a collaboration with producer Born Free, resulting in a beautiful track, “Sufferation”, on the “Road of Life Riddim” CD.
Ras D’s message to his fans and the world is one of peace, love and unity, a respect for each other and
encouragement, allowing Jah to guide and protect them along their journey in this life.
